Our History
In 1997 Davis Property & Investment was founded by Bill and Jeff Davis. The early part of the company’s existence consisted of mostly property management assignments, and soon grew into multiple development projects simultaneously. DPI was one of the first pioneers buying land in two very young sub-markets of Sumner located in Pierce County and Lacey in Thurston County. Taking advantage of demand in the Puget Sound region at large, DPI had its first four buildings under development simultaneously in Lacey and Sumner in 1999/2000. In addition to the development projects, DPI continued to add to its portfolio by acquiring investment properties in the more mature primary markets. Over each of the next five years, DPI was awarded as one of the 100 fastest growing companies in Washington, and honored to be on the Puget Sound Business Journal’s fastest growing company Hall of Fame list.
Drawing on their extensive development and asset management experience, DPI has adhered to the principled business practices, competent budget-wise solutions and communicative management practices that mark the cornerstone of DPI’s existence as a leader in this industry. DPI has raised the bar in the creation and implementation of cutting edge real estate construction, design, and management disciplines, with an emphasis on accommodating the most demanding requirements.
The synergy existing between DPI and their development partners continues to produce successful project, after project. A vertically integrated team is what positions DPI as a forerunner in the “start to finish” arena. Collaborating with the most progressive architects, engineers, consultants, and construction contractors provides their clients great value and service. By identifying and capitalizing on opportunities with new or redevelopment properties, DPI comes out a leader.
